treat time!

    today is the best day of my life! we got a brooder make over! probably because mom was tired of us wasting food and making a huge mess during our parties. i think she might be trying to use feng shui - lol. so far we like the changes - mainly because when she makes changes she usually bribes us with treats! so far we have found these yummies in our treat bowl today:

• freeze dried blackberries
• freeze dried corn and peas
• cracked corn
• rolled oats
• organic wheat bran
• meal worms
• organic raw sunflower seeds in the shell!
• alfalfa

     then we noticed our dirt bath was gone and replaced with grit and dirt. not sure how we feel about this one, although it is quite fun to scratch around in.
     oh, i almost forgot! while mom was giving our brooder an Extreme Makeover one of us took a run for it! oh it was hilarious! ethel jumped out of our box and started running around the room. we laughed and laughed and laughed... i think mom laughed too.

     i can't believe she showed you the Before picture. such a mess! we did all this in one night - while the humans were sleeping! we turned over the dirt bowl, flicked all of our food out of the food bowl, and then played in it. oh it was FUN! hopefully she didn't get any video of it.
     so today she made us a new dirt / grit box, one that we can't dump over, but also one that we can all fit in and play in. so far we really like it. she also put our food next to it so if we flicked it all out again, it would just end up in our grit.
     anywho, i guess i should get going before ethel eats all the meal worms.

p.s. can someone tell bernadette to get out of the treat bowl?
