This little one, named Olga, from the Keukenhoff Coop hasn’t been doing too well today. Very lethargic, not eating or drinking, etc. started her on some meds and she is starting to do a little better. Even though we’ve only had these little ones for less then a month they sure pull on the heart strings when they don’t feel good.
UPDATE: Thank you all. She seems to be doing better today. She got some outside fun and fresh air today. She is pretty worn out, but seems like she is inching back to her old self.

A little something from the outside of the brooder.
Today, after finishing the brooders daily cleaning, I sat down to watch the girls discover all the fun herbs I put in their space. The resident kitty, Fergie, has been quite bent out of shape because my time is divided now. So as soon as I sat down she hoped in my lap and gave me the “you’re not moving anytime soon” look. Such a sweet but very jealous girl. LOL Uh oh! We have a runner!
Everyday I clean the brooder and the big girls get put in the “transport box” LOL while I clean their side. Well today Ethel decided she was too good for the box so she took off! Oh goodness - I think she’s going to be trouble. Haha I call this “One Potato, Two Potato” LOL
We put a new higher roost in the “big girls” brooder over the weekend and two of them have figured it out. (Sorry for the red light) |
